(300037): The company’s core business involves the research, development, production, and sales of advanced electronic chemicals. Its main product lines comprise capacitor chemicals and lithium‑battery chemicals, encompassing four categories: aluminum electrolytic capacitor chemicals, solid‑state polymer capacitor chemicals, supercapacitor electrolytes, and lithium‑ion battery electrolytes. In his presentation, Technical Director Lü Liang noted that as the applications of lithium batteries continue to expand—particularly with the widespread adoption of new‑energy vehicles and the growing number of large‑scale energy‑storage projects—numerous challenges and potential risks have emerged. Electrolytes play a critical role in addressing these issues. Currently, the company has developed high‑performance electrolyte formulations, including the novel solvent N11+ combined with the phosphorus‑based flame retardant FPN, high‑concentration lithium‑salt electrolytes and ionic liquids, gel‑type semi‑solid electrolytes, as well as fast‑charging, high‑performance electrolytes such as LiFSi, solid‑state electrolytes, and specialized electrolytes tailored for sodium‑ion batteries, thereby meeting the diverse needs of customers and various market applications. At an event held in Anqing City, Anhui Province, the electrolyte manufacturer unveiled its cutting‑edge lithium‑battery electrolyte solutions and officially launched the first phase of its project to produce 150,000 tons per year of lithium‑ion battery electrolyte. During the commissioning ceremony, the company also introduced a series of electrolyte solutions, including those for manganese‑iron‑lithium phosphate batteries, sodium‑ion batteries, and semi‑solid‑state batteries.

A condensed-state system refers to a system composed of a large number of particles that exhibit strong interactions among them. CATL’s condensed‑state battery features an electrolyte that differs fundamentally from the liquid electrolytes used in conventional lithium‑ion batteries: rather than being fully liquid, it exists in a semi‑solid, gel‑like state. This unique formulation enables the battery to efficiently facilitate lithium‑ion transport between the positive and negative electrodes, while the inherent viscosity of the electrolyte reduces its fluidity, thereby enhancing overall power‑battery performance and mitigating the significant thermal runaway risks associated with traditional liquid‑electrolyte lithium‑ion batteries. Moreover, the condensed‑state battery integrates a suite of innovative technologies, including an ultra‑high specific‑energy cathode, a novel anode, a specialized separator, and advanced manufacturing processes.

XieNeng Technology was founded to research and develop, manufacture, and provide comprehensive, professional battery management solutions for new energy applications. The company currently offers a wide range of products across five major sectors: energy storage, electric vehicles, backup power systems, two-wheeled vehicles, and second-life applications.

Because substandard battery quality can trigger a series of catastrophic issues: high temperatures and pressures may cause the electrolyte solvent to undergo oxidative decomposition, leading to thermal runaway; and external impacts can easily result in structural collapse and electrolyte leakage...

Lithium‑ion battery electrolyte serves as the medium for ion transport and charge transfer between the positive and negative electrodes, enabling ionic conduction and thereby determining key performance metrics such as energy density and power density. Depending on the downstream application, electrolytes are classified into consumer‑electronics electrolytes, power‑battery electrolytes, and energy‑storage electrolytes. Among these, conventional 3C electrolytes meet the demands of high capacity and high rate capability, while power‑and‑energy‑storage electrolytes are designed to deliver long cycle life and other advanced performance requirements.
