The company’s main battery‑chemical products are categorized as follows: lithium‑ion battery chemicals (including lithium‑ion battery electrolytes, additives, novel lithium salts, and carbonate solvents), supercapacitor chemicals, and primary lithium‑battery chemicals. Emerging‑field offerings include sodium‑ion battery chemicals and solid‑state battery materials.

In addition to the 46-series large cylindrical batteries and the LF560K, the company has conducted in-depth research and strategic planning across multiple technological fronts. During the reporting period, it unveiled lithium-metal secondary batteries, semi-solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and hydrogen‑energy technologies. This article primarily outlines the progress of its energy‑storage‑related R&D projects, as illustrated in the figure below.

According to the annual report, in addition to the 46-series large cylindrical batteries and the LF560K, EVE Energy has conducted extensive, multi‑pronged research and strategic planning in emerging technologies. During the reporting period, the company unveiled lithium‑metal secondary batteries, semi‑solid‑state batteries, sodium‑ion batteries, and hydrogen‑energy technologies. This article primarily outlines the progress of its energy‑storage‑related R&D projects, as shown in the figure below.

It is reported that the funds raised in this round will be primarily allocated to the ongoing operations of the sodium-ion battery cell and materials production lines, increased R&D investment, talent recruitment, and market expansion. Following the completion of this financing, the company will accelerate the commissioning of its pilot-scale cell and cathode material production lines and expedite the deployment of sodium-ion battery products across diverse markets, including energy storage, telecommunications base stations, two- and three-wheeled vehicles, and user‑side energy storage systems.

Lithium‑ion battery electrolyte serves as the medium for ion transport and charge transfer between the positive and negative electrodes, determining key performance metrics such as energy density and power density. Depending on the downstream application, electrolytes are classified into consumer‑electronics electrolytes, power‑battery electrolytes, and energy‑storage electrolytes. Among these, conventional 3C electrolytes meet the demands of high capacity and high rate capability, while power‑and‑energy‑storage electrolytes are designed to deliver long cycle life and superior performance.

Sodium-ion batteries consist of four main components: the cathode, the anode, the electrolyte, and the separator. The structure and performance of the cathode and anode materials determine the overall sodium storage capability of the battery.

Sodium-ion batteries: With technology steadily maturing, they are poised to achieve early adoption in energy storage, low-speed vehicles, and other sectors. Companies that have established robust capabilities across relevant areas—such as cathode materials, anode materials, current collectors, battery casings, and related technologies, products, and production capacity—are likely to capture incremental market share. The company’s product roadmap is highly clear-cut, underpinned by a strong systems‑based approach to R&D, with strategic deployments in composite materials, lithium manganese iron phosphate, sodium-ion batteries, semi‑solid batteries, and solid‑state batteries. For instance, in the development of composite‑material batteries, the goal is to enhance both the performance and power characteristics of ternary composite phosphate‑based battery systems. In the sodium‑ion battery space, research focuses on cathode and anode material systems, electrolyte formulations, and manufacturing processes. In the solid‑state battery domain, the target is all‑solid‑state batteries, with ongoing studies on solid‑state electrolyte materials, interfacial properties at the solid–electrolyte interface, and solid‑state battery fabrication techniques. Regarding cycle life, through internal self‑balancing technology and highly reliable component designs, the batteries can meet stringent requirements for both cycle count and service life.
