Its operating principle relies on the insertion and extraction of sodium ions within the materials of the positive and negative electrodes, enabling energy storage and release. During charging, sodium ions migrate through the separator from the positive electrode to the negative electrode; some sodium ions desorb from the positive electrode into the electrolyte, while others from the electrolyte intercalate into the lattice gaps of graphite or hard carbon materials. During discharging, the process reverses: sodium ions desorb from the negative electrode and intercalate into the positive electrode, moving from the negative to the positive terminal. In his presentation, Technical Director Lü Liang noted that as lithium‑ion batteries find increasingly broad applications—particularly with the widespread adoption of new‑energy vehicles and the growing number of large‑scale energy‑storage projects—they have given rise to numerous challenges and potential risks. Electrolytes play a crucial role in addressing these issues. Currently, the company has developed high‑performance electrolytes, including the novel solvent N11+ combined with the phosphorus‑based flame retardant FPN, high‑concentration lithium‑salt electrolytes and ionic liquids, as well as gel‑like semi‑solid electrolytes. Additionally, the company offers fast‑charging, high‑performance electrolytes such as LiFSi, solid‑state electrolytes, and specialized electrolyte formulations tailored for sodium‑ion batteries, meeting the diverse needs of customers and various market applications. According to the announcement of the results of the second review meeting, Suzhou’s IPO application on the ChiNext board has been approved. It is reported that Hua Yi Co., Ltd. primarily engages in the research, development, production, and sales of lithium‑battery electrolyte additives, making it one of the earliest domestic enterprises dedicated to this field. The company’s core products—vinylene carbonate (VC) and fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC)—are key additives for lithium‑ion battery electrolytes, widely used in new‑energy vehicles, 3C devices, power‑storage systems, and other sectors.

Recently, Yuanshin Energy Storage and NaXiang signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties have agreed to jointly develop sodium-ion battery energy storage products tailored for large-scale grid‑scale applications, collaborate on sodium-ion energy storage systems and battery products, and actively explore market use cases and product requirements in the sodium-ion energy storage sector.

Recently, YuanChuNeng and NaXiang signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties have agreed to jointly develop sodium-ion battery energy storage products tailored for large-scale grid‑scale applications, collaborating on sodium‑ion energy storage systems and battery products while actively exploring market use cases and product requirements. Meanwhile, a global ton‑scale production line for sodium‑ion battery cathode materials has been commissioned, with process packages designed for the production of 10,000 tons of cathode materials and 10,000 tons of electrolyte. Currently, both the cathode materials and the electrolyte are undergoing validation at more than 20 battery manufacturers.

Accordingly, the positive electrode sheet was prepared using the same method as in Example 1, and both sodium‑ion half‑cells and full cells were assembled for charge–discharge and cycling capacity testing. The test procedures were identical to those in Example 1. The discharge specific capacity was , and the initial coulombic efficiency was approximately %—both values being inferior to those of the nanomaterial prepared by precipitation in Example 1. This is because the nanomaterial synthesized via precipitation in Example 1 yielded a polycrystalline structure with uniform elemental distribution, exhibiting a dense, defect‑free microstructure that mitigates electrolyte corrosion and reduces the occurrence of surface side reactions.
